Utah Hospital Systems

There are four main hospital systems in Utah. Corporate hospital chains include IASIS and the Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), which does business in Utah as MountainStar. IASIS and HCA are both headquartered in Tennessee. Intermountain Healthcare is a system of nonprofit hospitals and clinics headquartered in Salt Lake City. University Health Care is a state-owned system of hospitals and clinics and is headquartered at the University of Utah.

Utah Health Insurance Providers

Several organizations offer health insurance in Utah. Local nonprofit health insurers include SelectHealth, DMBA, and PEHP. National insurance corporations with operations in Utah include Altius/Coventry, BlueCross BlueShield, United Health Care, Cigna and Aetna. Molina Health Care provides services for Medicaid and Medicare recipients.
